Wedding Photography - The Rocks Sydney

My Ratings (9 out of 10)

Wedding Photography - The Rocks Sydney

I am featuring this area of Sydney again as it is endless in terms of opportunities for your Sydney wedding photographer. The bridge stairs are located between Observatory Hill and Cumberland Street Sydney. They are two, large, undercover stairwells that are joined by a long underground tunnel. Photographs for your wedding day taken here will achieve elements of architecture combined with beautiful lighting.

It is a great place if the rain sets in on you and you need cover to work under. There are not many places in Sydney that offer this much cover from the wet weather. A wedding photographer with some experience should be able to spend around an hour here and pull some awesome images.

There is a certain time of the year in April when the sun sets and the rays will beam straight down the tunnel for about 5 minutes. It doesn't happen often but when it does, your photographer will have to be quick.

Sydney Wedding Photos - Cumberland Street Sydney

My Ratings (8 out of 10)

Wedding Photography -  Cumberland Street Sydney

Between the Cahill Express Way and Harrington street in The Rocks is Cumberland St. Great little area if your shooting Observatory Hill through to The Rocks. It is in the area of the bridge stairs that is most interesting.
Lots of little changes everywhere from steel bars to brickwork and stone. Some beautiful trees line the bridge and in late March to early May are a smashing golden red. Great against a blue sky.
In this following shot you can see the trees from the stairs.

The are a line of coloured heritage buildings if you check down the stairs opposite the Pub on the corner. All of which have quaint little doorways for your photographer to work with. If he's paying attention.

There's even a zebra crossing for some fun.

Sydney Wedding Photos - The Rocks

My Ratings (10 out of 10)

Wedding Photography - The Rocks
Undoubtedly one of the best areas that Sydney has to offer. Every corner, every turn can bring new possibilities. I would have to say that i learned every style that i shoot from working this area many, many times. From the cobble stone lanes to the old corner shop, The Rocks has everything that a photographer needs to create some stunning, romantic and exciting images. if a photographer doesn't have a great here, i would have to worry about the credibility of your photographer.

Photography at Bridge lane Sydney

My Ratings (9 out of 10)

Bridge lane - Photography
If your looking to achieve something different than green gardens and grassy backdrops in your wedding photos, this is it. Located behind the establishment hotel in Sydney is Bridge lane. Only a small little lane but the light that falls in here is as sweet as it gets. The tall buildings on either side give a great shelter from wind and direct sunlight. This is a great spot to have your limo pull into for a celebration drink and start your photography with some back alley shots.
