Paulownia Plantation Richmond

My Ratings (8out of 10)

Paulownia Plantation Richmond

Wedding Photography Location Sydney

Just near the town of Richmond NSW is a small plantation of Paulownia trees open for booking your wedding photography. This area is fascinating to say the least and the first time i photographed a wedding shoot here was quite difficult. The time of day was late afternoon with a setting sun. At first i expected great things from this area but the setting sun was throwing harsh shadows through the trees making a speckled effect right through the canopy of trees.
During the trees growth period you will find some stages of complete coverage from light  coming in from above whilst other times (when there are no leaves on the trees) there are just twigs and branches above.  As long as your photographer can work with shadows cast from the trees they will have no problems. This distance shot of the amazing pink hummer set against the trees as a backdrop worked well.

The tunnel like effect is quite unique here and can add a great sence of depth. If you pick the right time of year the trees drop their flowers and it appears as snow falling within the tree lines.(Amazing)

A quick "girl power" photo seemed like a great way of popping the pink dresses all at once. You will need to book in for your photography time here with the old famer that owns the plantation. The fees are very cheap compared with other Sydney wedding photography locations

Gorgeous Light will trtavel through the trees giving your photographer a chance of nice portait style photos.
I ranked this area an 8 out of 10 because it is a rare place that is hard to match anywhere else... be very careful of the twigs on the ground, they snare the dress easily.

Sydney Wedding Photos - Cumberland Street Sydney

My Ratings (8 out of 10)

Wedding Photography -  Cumberland Street Sydney

Between the Cahill Express Way and Harrington street in The Rocks is Cumberland St. Great little area if your shooting Observatory Hill through to The Rocks. It is in the area of the bridge stairs that is most interesting.
Lots of little changes everywhere from steel bars to brickwork and stone. Some beautiful trees line the bridge and in late March to early May are a smashing golden red. Great against a blue sky.
In this following shot you can see the trees from the stairs.

The are a line of coloured heritage buildings if you check down the stairs opposite the Pub on the corner. All of which have quaint little doorways for your photographer to work with. If he's paying attention.

There's even a zebra crossing for some fun.

Belgenny Farm - Wedding Photographer

My Ratings (8 out of 10)

Belgenny Farm - Location

This little place is a step back in time indeed. Almost two centuries old, it is a place where historical and modern day agricultural practices and expertise come together to provide a great backdrop for your wedding day.
The surroundings are an ideal venue for functions and events.

8 Stars for the unlimited opportunities here. Doorways, stables (with hay) Old relics and vehicles, horses etc etc. They are very dusty old barns so be careful with the dress. well worth exploring all areas with your photographer.

The guests get to roam around the farm checking out all of the specials places with a glass of wine in hand. They will probably see you having your photographs taken from a distance but too far to interact with you which is great for us photographers. Remember, we treat every minute we have with you like gold. it is our window of creativity as wedding photographers.

Wedding Photography - Sydney Harbour

My Ratings (8 out of 10)

Wedding Photography - Sydney Harbour
There are many areas surrounding Sydney for wedding photography. The shots you will see in this post are from the south side of the Harbour bridge and on the west side near the Sebel Hotel. I call it ' the Sebel shoot'.

This can be a great location if you take your time and look for all the little corners and backdrops. A great place for your wedding cars to drop you off is Lower Fort Street. It is a good starting point for your wedding photos because you can easily spend some time with your cars here and have a quick bite to eat and a glass of champagne to celebrate.

Right from the start there are stairs to work with and the lovely Sydney harbour backdrop in your photos.
A little piece of grass to play on if your photographer needs it.
The Dawes Point area where Pier One stands was used primarily for military purposes after Australia’s colonization by the British. A feature of the point was the country’s first observatory built by William Dawes, a soldier who sailed to Australia with the First Fleet. Blending heritage with contemporary chic, Sebel Pier One for photography is a good choice...
There are plenty of stone wall areas along this section of Hickson Rd Sydney. You can play with many of them. The shot above is what I like to call 'around the corner' and works a treat with the right areas.
As far as wedding photography in Sydney is concerned. i like it.
